? ? ?The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (FAH-SYSU) received the Aspire-to-Excellence Award at the AMEE (An International Association for Health Professions Education) 2023 annual conference. It was held in Glasgow, UK from August 26 to 30.?

? ? The hospital is recognized as achieving excellence in international collaboration in health professions education. It marks the first medical institution in the Chinese mainland to receive the AMEE award.?

? ? ? More than 4,300 health professionals and educators from 108 countries and regions attended the conference.

? ? The collaboration between FAH-SYSU and AMEE has yielded fruitful results. AMEE has so far trained 835 faculty members for the hospital, all of whom have received official accreditation. In addition, 42 outstanding doctors have been awarded the title of Associate Fellows of AMEE (AFAMEE).
